The firm

Senior-led, delivered by an experienced consulting team.

InnovAKT is built on more than two decades inside industrial control engineering, operations and enterprise cybersecurity. Our consultants came to advisory work from inside operators and asset owners. Between them, the team's careers span oil and gas, petrochemicals, power and utilities, water and manufacturing.

We founded the firm on a simple belief: operational technology needs independent consultants more than it needs another solution provider. Our role is to complement your capabilities, not to replace them — and to leave your team stronger than we found it.

What we believe

The industry's received wisdom.

Six things the market repeats. Flip the switch to see where twenty years inside industrial operations left us somewhere else.

These are not slogans. Each one changed how we scope an engagement — and each one has cost us work we chose not to take.

Leadership

Who leads the work.

Mohammed Saad

Mohammed Saad Founder & CEO, InnovAKT
Industrial Control Systems Engineer
Former Global OT Cybersecurity Executive

Mohammed began managing DCS and SCADA environments at one of Egypt's largest gas facilities, then led control-system modernization programs across EMEA. He went on to hold global executive responsibility for an industrial cybersecurity business and for launching OT managed security services, working across five countries.

He founded InnovAKT on the belief that asset owners are better served by independent judgment than by a product roadmap. He speaks internationally, has authored more than fifty articles on OT cybersecurity and industrial resilience, and serves on the advisory boards of several technology startups.

Where the work happens

Switchgear rooms, cabinets, treatment works and process skids.

Not conference rooms. Every engagement starts with a walkdown, because the drawing and the plant disagree more often than either side expects.

Questions about the firm

Who we are, and how we work.

Who founded InnovAKT?

InnovAKT was founded by Mohammed Saad, whose career runs from industrial automation and control engineering through global cybersecurity programs for industrial customers. The firm was built around a conviction he formed on plant floors: that cybersecurity advice which ignores how a plant actually runs does not get implemented, and advice that does not get implemented does not reduce risk.

How large is InnovAKT and how does it staff engagements?

InnovAKT is a senior, deliberately small firm. Engagements are led and delivered by consultants with industrial operating experience, not staffed down to junior analysts after the sale. Where a program needs scale, InnovAKT builds it inside the client's own organization or with named partners, and says which is which.

Is InnovAKT independent of security product vendors?

Yes. InnovAKT does not resell, and earns nothing from any product it recommends. It specifies requirements, evaluates candidates against them, and validates what is deployed. A client can therefore read an InnovAKT recommendation as an engineering judgement rather than a commercial one.
